GLOBAL MOTOCADDY SALES HIT RECORD HIGH NUMBERS
Motocaddy, the market-leading trolley brand worldwide, has registered all-time high sales figures ahead of the 2020 season and praised the support of its retail partners in delivering record orders by highlighting the appeal of new trolley models, bags and accessories. Despite one of the wettest winters on record to affect golf courses across the UK and Ireland and difficult global market conditions, Motocaddy has announced a 34% growth in worldwide sales compared to this time last year, along with the value of pre-orders for the new range 29% up compared to unprecedented 2019 figures. The record sell-in has been aided by an enthusiastic trade response to 11 brand new electric and push trolley models, plus five new bags, which has been sold into every Motocaddy stockist. The brand has continued to pioneer the future direction of golf trolley technology with the launch of the world’s first touch screen-enabled model – the M5 GPS and M5 GPS DHC and has carried out a comprehensive makeover of all its trolleys and bags for the forthcoming season. “The phenomenal sell-in figures and worldwide growth reflect the trust and support shown from our retail partners,” said Steve Morris, Motocaddy’s UK & Ireland Sales Director. “The positive momentum we built up during a successful 2019 has continued and it provides us with great encouragement for the rest of the year,” he added. The brand’s reputation for reliability and innovation has been backed by Foremost Golf - the largest buyer and seller of golf products in the UK. “It’s no surprise to us that the brand-new Motocaddy range has resonated so well with stockists and golfers across the country,” said Andy Martin, Managing Director of Foremost Golf. “The brand continues to lead the way in trolley and bag innovation and has once again cemented its position as the ultimate club transportation provider,” he added. The exceptional sell-in response has also been backed by a reliable rental fleet with 50% more customers pre-ordering rentals versus last year and 83% of all rentals ordered are new M5 GPS models. Motocaddy supplies more than 750 rental fleets across the UK and Ireland and a growing number of Europe’s most prestigious golf resorts have enhanced their rental income and increased trolley sales by taking on a fleet of the efficient compact-folding M-Series models. “The rental options from Motocaddy this year are fantastic with the M5 GPS and other M-Series models so easy to use and store,” said David Moon, PGA Golf Manager at St Mellion International Resort. “The fully integrated GPS system built into the new M5 GPS model is incredible and its ready to go straight out of the box. I’m sure it’s going to be a popular rental choice with members, guests and visitors this year. Motocaddy has always been a reliable partner and the trolleys match the service that we strive to offer, plus the products provide a great return on investment,” he added. A complete style transformation has been applied to the full Motocaddy trolley range, including the entry-level S1 – the world’s top-selling electric trolley over the past decade – along with seven models within this year’s exciting compact-folding M-Series range. The new M1, M1 DHC, M3 PRO and brand new M3 PRO DHC will soon be joined by the flagship M5 GPS and M5 GPS DHC touch screen models, followed by the new M7 REMOTE soon after. Along with three brand new push trolleys, Motocaddy has also given its highly successful bag range a streamlined feel and trendy re-design to ensure golfers find it even easier to match a bag to the Motocaddy trolley of their choice.
