UK Golf Federation – Press Release 14th September 2021 – for Immediate Release
The UK Golf Federation is a members support organisation and is fully national with members spread across England, Scotland, Wales, and NI & I. Its work through governments APPG has been invaluable in keeping golf safe for customers and enabling its members to keep their businesses open for play. It’s initiatives and support along with 13 free business support services is a major part of the growth story. These cover just about every key area of the day-to-day operation of a golf facility, saving both money and time. Clearly the support and advice given to its members has been well received and the good news of the UK Golf Federation’s support services has obviously travelled fast!

Neil Burke – Multi-site Director of Horsham Golf and Horne Park Golf comments – "The UKGF has now reached a membership (operational golf facilities) in excess of 1200 across the UK, it is truly exciting and relevant to the golf industry that our membership has grown so significantly in the last two years. This growth demonstrates the need for a body, commercially literate and comprehensively represented to forward the perspective of this sector of the industry. It's no coincidence that we now have within our membership a number of the most highly respected facilities in the UK. Even our premium membership (£180.00) is an insignificant amount of money given the direct commercial benefits we offer, but more relevantly members get a say and be part of the most proactive and forward-thinking industry body ensuring our view is heard, the UKGF remains a ‘not for profit’ body and the louder its voice becomes on critical matters like participation, tax, and many others the better for golf and golf facility operators”.

This is not the only benefit of membership that excites though! Access to its website www.ukgolffederation.com is also a valuable asset of membership, where members golf facilities are available for the golfing public to check-out locations and venues and click links to make tee and society reservations, a real business opportunity. Plus! Its new Player App, soon to be launched will enable members to communicate with its customers offering a whole suite of services. More information on membership is available on the UK Golf Federation website www.ukgolffederation.com where savings of £1,000 on services can be found (T&C’s apply) and it is quick and easy for new members to join.

The UKGF is a not-for-profit organisation now with over 1,200 member facilities whose aims are to represent and support the interests of proprietary, and operator commercial golf courses and driving ranges in the UK. It takes a key role in providing leadership in discussions with Government and golf’s governing bodies on all matters that impact commercially minded golf facilities. The Federation has a programme of benefits and opportunities for its members to enable them to understand and develop their business. Its mission is to "grow golf participation through open access golf facilities and grow the bottom line”.
